PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 20, 2026

Smart-Score is designed to keep your scorekeeping data under your control. The app has no user accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking and does not send app data to the Smart-Score developer or to a Smart-Score cloud service.

1. Who is responsible?

The provider of Smart-Score is responsible for the processing described in this policy. You can reach the provider through the Smart-Score contact form.

2. Data handled by the app

Smart-Score processes information you enter or generate while using the app, including:

  • player names;
  • disciplines, scores, match distances, sets, innings, fouls, timings, and match statistics;
  • archived match results; and
  • app preferences such as table number, language, theme, archive limit, streaming option, reused player names, and discipline defaults.

This information is used only to operate the scoring, results, archive, settings, and monitoring features. By default, it remains in the app's local storage on your device. Smart-Score does not require an account and does not collect location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data.

3. Local-network streaming and Monitoring

When you enable Streaming, Smart-Score broadcasts live match information over your local network so that compatible Smart-Score devices can display it in Monitoring. Broadcast information can include the table number and identifier, player names, discipline, scores, match settings, timing, status, and statistics.

Important: This is a local UDP broadcast. It is not sent to a Smart-Score cloud service, but other devices connected to the same network may technically be able to receive the broadcast. Use Streaming only on a network you trust.

You can stop this processing at any time by disabling Streaming in Smart-Score. You can also revoke Smart-Score's Local Network permission in the operating-system settings. Monitoring devices retain received match information only as needed to show the current monitoring view.

4. Storage, retention, and deletion

Settings and archived matches are stored locally on your device. The archive retains entries up to the limit selected in Settings; when the limit is exceeded, the oldest entries are removed. You can delete individual archived matches or clear the archive in the app. You can also remove locally stored app data by deleting the app, subject to any device backups managed by you or your operating-system provider.

Because the developer does not receive this local app data, the developer cannot view, export, or delete it on your behalf.

5. Data not collected by the developer

The Smart-Score app does not include advertising networks, analytics services, tracking technologies, or a cloud backend. The developer does not collect the player names, match data, device settings, or local-network broadcasts described above.

6. Website and contact form

The website stores your selected language in your browser's local storage. It does not use advertising or analytics. When the website and its fonts are loaded, technically necessary connection data—such as an IP address, browser information, date, and time—may be processed by the website host and the external font provider to deliver those resources.

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject, message, and related technical delivery data you submit are transmitted through EmailJS to the Smart-Score provider. They are used to receive, answer, and protect the integrity of your request. Do not include match or other sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated misuse. When the contact page is loaded or the verification is used, Google may process technical and interaction data, including your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, and interaction with the verification. This processing is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Contact messages are kept only as long as necessary to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted. You may request access, correction, or deletion, or withdraw consent for future processing, by using the contact form. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

7. Service providers and disclosure

Website hosting, font delivery, EmailJS, and Google reCAPTCHA may process the limited website and contact information described above on behalf of Smart-Score or as independent providers. Providers used to process information on behalf of Smart-Score are required to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law. Information is not sold. It may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

8. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. In particular, local-network Streaming is intended for trusted local networks and should not be treated as a confidential transmission channel.

9. Children

Smart-Score is a general scorekeeping tool and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you enter another person's name, use a nickname or obtain any permission required in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when Smart-Score's features or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Questions and privacy requests can be submitted through the contact page.
